PAIR OF MAGNIFICENT BOTTLE-SHAPED "SCHNEEBALLEN" PORCELAIN VASES
Meissen. 19th century
Porcelain; enriched in colours and sparingly in gold. Large; bottle-shaped body with narrow neck and small stopper lid crowened with bird. The side covered all-around with sculptural guelder rose blossoms and decorated with tendrils; leaves and blossom balls on the obverse side. Two yellow canaries are sitting laterally on the sculpturally applied branches on the body. Height 51cm.
