PORCELAIN PAINTING OF QUEEN LUISE OF PRUSSIA
KPM. Berlin. 1909. After a painting by Gustav Karl Ludwig Richter
Porcelain; painted in colours. Luise Auguste Wilhemine Amalie Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz; known as Queen Luise of Prussia; descending the stairs of a garden architecture. Signed "Sch黱zel" on the lower right. Albert Sch黱zel was a porcelain painter for the KPM Berlin as well as Heubach in Lichte; Thuringia. Plaque measurements 19 x 25.5cm.
Sceptre mark pressed; underneath K.P.M; year mark H for June 1908; handwritten note "K鰊igin Luise" (Queen Luise) on the backside. Condition A.
The original artwork from 1879 can be found in the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne.Art trade; Van Ham.
