Technique: Green album with 169 original photos; as well as 13 separate.
Description: The photos show famous excursion destinations in China; but document as well the life of
the navy men and their families. Like the stone boat in the see of summer palace. One of
the photos shows the crew with governor Alfred Meyer-Waldeck. Exceptional are 15 photos at
the end of the album showing the destruction in office rooms and titled: Boxer uprising
1900.
Measurement: Ca. 36x31.5cm.
Condition A/B.

Provenance:
-Collection August Grethe (1884-unknown). Grethe came to the Navy in 1906 and became ensign in 1912 and later chief petty officer.
-Private collection through inheritance; Northern Germany.
