Dynasty: Edo period (1603-1868).
Technique: Urushi. Gold lacquer with hira and takamaki e; partly on red laquer background.
Description: Gold box H.5.6cm; 16.5x9cm. Maker's seal underneath: Zohiko (Urushi Art; Kyoto and Tokyo).
Three sakazui ? 7.8-10.3cm. Condition B. Smaller damages; gold box matte.
Supplement: Silver sakazuki with chrysanthemum crest. Gift from Emperor Meiji. Japan. Around 1900. ? 11cm. Condition A/B. Dented foot ring.
