Paris. Ca. 1815-20. D閚i鑢e & Matelin. Stepped; transverse rectangular base on claw feet. Leaning onto the case; Victoria; in her
hand an open book about the history of the House Cap閠iens. Roman numerals. Large pendulum
movement with spring suspension and half-hour chime on a bell. Height 61cm.
Inscribed on the dial D閚i鑢e & Matelin F.nts de Bronzier ?Paris.
Condition:
Gilding in some parts with severe abrasions partly more rubbed and oxidized on the claw
feet.
Left thumb of the figure broken off and lost.
Dial with smaller hairline cracks.
Tip of the minute hand broken off and lost.
Movement is in need of restoration. Pendulum and key lost.
