Colombia; Boyac?department; city of Paipa: bust of Coronel (Colonel) Jaime Rook (James Rooke; 1770 - 1819) in Jaime Rook Park (Spanish: Park Jaime Rook); Thanks to Lake Sochagota; the Rancheria nature reserve; the Vargas swamp; the Casone del Salitre; the basilica and the Jaime Rook Park; city of Paipa is a touristic hotspot in the Boyac?department. Jaime Rooke Park is named to honor James Rook (1770 - 1819); a British commander who lead the British Legions (also: British Legion) in the army of Simon de Bolivar. He lost his live on 28th of July 1819; three days after the decisive victory in the Vargas Swamp Battle (Battala del Paludo de Vargas); on 25th of July; 1819.
