Brighter Cricket -- "Oh, well bowled, Sir!" the ***** was mistimed and the bails ***** fair batswoman was bowled. Thrills and frills were the order of the day in Grandmama's time, and these were revived to-day when teams from the two Clergy Orphan corporation schools, St. Edmund's, Canterbury and St. Margaret's, Bushey, dressed in pantaloons, stocks and top-hats and their feminine opponents in crinolines, pantalettes (lace-trimmed) and poke bonnets played a match in celebration of the bicentenary of the corporation, in the ground of St. Margaret's Bushey. June 29, 1949.
