Next to Vivien Leigh are her husband Sir Laurence Oliveier, and Dame Sybil Thornduke. The matinee commemorated three anniversaries - the fiftieth year since the founding of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art; Dame Sybil's golden jubilee on the stage; and the birth centanary of Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, founder of the PADA.
