The scene is played by Richard Egan and Debra Paget who are only supporting players to Victor Mature and Susan Hayward, but might easily steal the picture. "Demetrius and the Gladiators" is a successor to "The Robe", carrying on the story of Christ's robe for which the Roman soldiers diced at the foot of the Cross.
