U.S. Fortresses found Axis Airfield At Hilo, Sicily -- Bombs from a force of B17 Flying Fortresses of the Northwest African Air forces blanket the Milo aerodrome in Sicily in a highly successful raid of April 5th. There were 70 to 80 enemy planes, the majority Ju. 52's on the airdrome. 30 of them received direct hits and many others were damaged. A large hangar and other buildings on the fields were also hit.
