Lady Mountbatten ***** Africa - Countess Mountbatten boarding her aircraft for Accra at London Airport today. Countess Mountbatten Superintendent-in-Chief of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, left London airport aboard a B.C.A.C. aircraft bound for Accra today (Thursday). She is on the first stage of a five-week tour of East and West Africa to see at first hand the work being done ***** by the Brigade, and to discuss proposals for expansion. She will also be undertaking the trip in her capacity as chairman of the St. John and British Red Cross Services Hospitals Welfare Committee.
