"Monty" Receives Australian Memento -- Mr. J.A. Beasley presenting the album to Viscount Montgomery at the War Office to-day (Monday). A leather-bound volume of photographs of his journey to various parts of the Australian commonwealth was presented to Field Marshal Viscount Montgomery of Alamein at the War Office this morning (Monday) by the Rt. Hon. J.A. Beasley, high commissioner for Australia. Accompanying the album was a letter to the C.I.C.S. from the Prime Minister of Australia, the Rt. Hon. J.B. Chiffley. February 09, 1948.
