Cameron Mitchell, 28-year-old contract Movie Actor, has turned down a pitching contract with the Detroit Tigers. He won the Baseball offer when he pitched a 20-1 victory for the Culver Palms Semi Pro Baseball Club. In the stands was Dan Crowley, Tigers scout, who was so impressed by Mitchell's action on the mound that after the game he came up with a contract, effective immediately. The young actor turned turned down the chance, to stick to his seven-year contract with MGM. he has a featured role as the Navigator in "High Barbaree," and now is working in "Cass Timberlane."
