World's Fastest Trainer -- On the climb to 25,000 feet (7.600 m.) for test on first issue from the new factory at Reading, a Miles Master high-speed advanced training monoplane displays its sturdy and streamlined design. Master monoplanes are now in large production. They are the fastest training aircraft in the world. Equipped with a Rolls-Royce Kestrel engine with maximum output 715 h.p. (725 c.v.) top speed is nearly 270 m.p.h. (435 km./h.). Note splendid outlook obtained from the two-seat cabin which has strong metal formers to protect the occupants should the machine nose-over on landing. March 23, 1939. (Photo by Flight Photo).
