It has a hinged lid; an interior divided into three compartments by means of two sliders and a drawer underneath. It rests on four cast silver legs in the shape of a bird's claw on an oval ground. The box has diagonally placed; slightly protruding corner posts and; above a low straight-walled base; has a hollow curve; a convex profile and an elongated S-curve. The lid is closed at the bottom by a convex profile above which a convex curve; an S-curve and a hollow curve; closed at the top by a convex profile that surrounds the slightly raised; flat top. The drawer is opened by pressing a silver tab on the bottom. The lock and hinges of the lid are made of silver; just like the cast lock plate; which has the shape of an asymmetrical cartouche of rocailles; and the handle on the lid; which is also cast. This is made up of two C-volutes decorated with leaves; connected by an asymmetrical rocaille motif. It hinges in two spherical holders; resting on twisted rosettes.
