The furniture rests on an open frame with a swinging window. The line with drawer at the front; as well as the front and sides of the upper frame; are decorated with panels of lacquerware with representations in gold on black ground within gilt bronze edges. The corner posts of the upper part consist of female hermcaryatides of gilt bronze.
