Strip of bobbin lace with infinitely curling ribbon; Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace; Milanese lace. The strip is made or used for superplie. The pattern is formed by an infinitely curling ribbon. A repeat of the pattern can be seen where the ribbon only twists along the upper edge; so that the mesh underneath is not cut through by the ribbon. This creates rectangular blocks; full of branches with incised leaves and flower buds. The twists are held together by a diamond-shaped mesh soil. The ribbon is made in linen with open-worked edges; sporadically there are also recesses in the center of the ribbon. In a few leaves and flowers; a decorative soil has been made in the form of a twist or a few painted braids have been applied. The top side is finished with a separately clinked edge. The irregular scallops along the bottom stem from the pattern with the winding ribbon.; anonymous; Milaan; c. 1700 - c. 1724; linen (material); bobbin lace; l 235 cm 脙鈥?w 30 cm 脙鈥? 49.5 cm
