Sol (the Sun) Sol (The Sun); Sol holds one with his left hand head resting hollow pipe. With his right hand resting on his hip; he holds a staff. It stands on a wide pedestal; raised at the rear. The lion stands on this raised part. Water once spouted from the lion's mouth; which was led from the pedestal through the left front leg to the mouth. A channel probably also runs through Sol's right leg to the tube on his head.
