The repeating pattern along the top edge consists of two large loose flowers; a carnation interspersed with a peony; each on a curved stem with leaf. The regularly undulating pendulum along the lower edge follows the shape of this flower pattern and always has a rosette flower as suspension points. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground; the round Valenciennes ground. The motifs are made in linen with openwork edges. The scalloped bottom comes from the pattern of the pendulum and is finished with picots.
