Strip of black bobbin lace with wavy standing branches; Strip of black silk bobbin lace; Chantilly lace. The pattern repeats itself and consists of billowing standing branches that spring into the valleys of a pendulum and then rise far above it. The pendulum consists of a double pearl frame filled with triple leaves and has wide valleys and narrow tops; making it a kind of half cartouches. A long branch hangs straight down from the narrow tops; ending in one flower. The scallop edge is formed by a wavy pendulum of concatenated rosette flowers and one large hanging bell flower from the wave top. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground. The full work is made in net stroke and one kind of decorative soil is used; thicker contour threads run around the motifs.; anonymous; Bayeux (possibly); c. 1850 - c. 1870; silk; bobbin lace; l 157 cm 脙鈥?w 60 cm 脙鈥? 20 cm
