Strip of spool lace with symmetrical pattern with three-lobed cartouche and wave trough with half daisy and oblique lines; Strip of natural spool of lace: Mechelen lace. The repeating pattern consists of two symmetrical compositions that overlap. One composition consists of a three-lobed cartouche with a rosette in it and two halved rosette flowers along the top edge. The other composition consists of a wave trough with half a daisy along the top; from which come two pairs of oblique lines that fill the wave trough and along the bottom two thick volute leaves turned away from each other. The motifs are connected by decorative grounds; including the snow ground. The motifs are made of linen with few cut-outs and with thicker contour threads. The faintly scalloped bottom comes from the pattern and is finished with picots.; De bovenzijde van de strook is recht afgewerkt.
