Profiles on the neck; shoulder; abdomen and foot. The front half of the jug is covered with cobalt blue. Medallions printed on the shoulder and embossed with the Saxon weapon; interspersed with angel heads. On the belly angel heads and medallions with flower vines. The jug is set in a pewter frame with bands around the neck and abdomen. The lid has a thumb-shaped handle in the shape of a face.
