Joseph Chalier (1747-1793); The head is turned three-quarters to the right. Locks of hair cover the ears; the hair on the back of the head is held together by a bow and falls into a tail on the right shoulder. The bust ends at the upper arms and below the chest; where it merges into a cylindrical base. Chalier wears a shirt hanging open on the chest with a raised collar and lace trim.
