Gold lace strip with squares in a diamond; Bobbin lace strip; gold lace; Cluny lace. The pattern is inspired by sixteenth-century gold edges and consists of a diamond in the center line; formed by intersecting lines. In the window is a configuration of four squares. Along the top and bottom are two ovals placed against each other; each formed by two thick arcs; with a square in the center. The arcs and squares are made in shape and are connected to each other by a mesh ground; a borehole grate. The lines that form the diamond consist of three adjacent threads that protrude between the thinner threads that form the mesh. The arcs form scallops on both long sides of the strip.; anonymous; Volvic; c. 1925 - c. 1930; Cluny lace; l 9.5 cm x w 9 cm
