Chrismatorium; The cylindrical box rests on three ball feet (one of which has been partially replaced) and has a loose; slightly convex lid with a round button. The body of the box is composed of two parts; the top of which closes on the bottom. A circular representation is driven in low relief on both parts and on the lid. The lower part shows Noah's ark: the ark floats in an infinite sea from which peaks and rocks protrude and in which there are various drowning people clinging to branches or tree trunks and a swimming deer. Furthermore; a pigeon is depicted three times: flying; pecking at a rock and ascending with a branch in the mouth. Above all of this there is a cloud sky from which rain; indicated by fine engraving; falls. The upper part shows the Manna Collection. Against a backdrop of tents and houses; many figures with baskets collect the Manna. In the foreground; next to a tent and in the midst of a group of people praying and crying to heaven; are Moses with a sword and with horns on his head and Aaron with miter and bishop's robe. On the lid; a circular branch with apples is driven on a punched fond; two of which eat snaking snakes. Three angels fly around the button in a cloudy sky; surrounded by a slippery band. Along the lower and upper edges of both parts; and along the flat; protruding edge of the lid; there are profile edges; the gathering of manna (in baskets and pots); the dove returns with an olive branch; story of Noah; Michiel Esselbeek; Amsterdam; c. 1650; silver (metal); h 11.5 cm x d 4.3 cm x w 204 gr
