Fire screen of linen; stretched over a scalloped; wooden (?) Frame; embroidered on the front with multicolored wool and printed on the back with a roaring lion; 蒫ran or parafeu. The irregularly scalloped screen is embroidered on the front with multicolored wool in petit-point and gros-point. At the center of the asymmetrically constructed pattern are two birds that have been applied to each other on a branch; surrounded by floral and leaf motifs. The long tails and the baroque structure of the pattern are unusual and cannot be traced back to examples from pattern books for the time being.
