Two-armed candlestick with St. Christophorus and the Christ Child; The candlestick is composed of the following parts: the base; the trunk with St. Christophorus; the two fat traps and the two candle holders. The low round base; decorated with grooved rings; ends in a stand ring. This has a raised edge at the top; so that the horizontal surface of the foot can serve as a fat trap. The foot rises towards the center and there has a hole surrounded by a round edge; in which the trunk is shoveled. This is hexagonal at the bottom and provided with a base and a capital. On it stands the barefoot going H. Christophorus; who carries the Christ child on his shoulders. The pedestal on which Saint Christophorus is placed has a protrusion into which the tree is inserted; which is screwed to the saint's right arm. The tree has two branches; in which the candle holders are screwed onto the fat traps at the ends. The saint wears a cloak reaching down to the knees; the edges of which are granulated; and a belt that is enlivened with circles. The Christ Child wears a cloak whose hem and collar are granulated. The round fat traps are (differently) provided with rings on the underside. The profiled candle holders are hexagonal and each have a standing rectangular and a round opening. These are placed on vertical hexagonal connectors. The tree trunk was broken at the right hand of Christoffel; partially renewed there and fixed with an iron screw in the arm; the giant and martyr Christophorus; possible attributes: palm-tree (with bunches of dates; or withered); infant Christ; anonymous; Germany; c. 1825 - c. 1875; brass (alloy); granulation; h 36.5 cm d 17.8 cm
