Candle crown of two heights with six arms each; The object consists of an iron rod with an iron hook and the following cast parts: the Maria figure; the right hand riveted to her arm; her left hand correspondingly riveted with the Christ child; the crown riveted to her head; the trunk; the riveted lion's head; the pull ring; twice six arms with the corresponding fat traps and wrought-iron candle pins. The standing Mary figure is surrounded by a halo. Her dress and cloak are decorated with punched star motifs. Cloak closure and necklace are also marked punched. The trunk; which is predominantly hollow; has two stakes with six notches each; which are marked with one to five notches. The last notch per ring is unnoticed. The arms are bent twice and are unnoticed or each time marked on the mounting cams I to IIIII. They are decorated with two grape bunches and two vine leaves (above) and four grape bunches and five vine leaves (below). The round grease traps have open worked; serrated vertically placed edges at the bottom; to mask the attachment to the arms. This is done by round iron pins; which are screwed into the ends of the arms. The various arms are each cast using the same models. The fat traps differ from each other. A few details have been restored on the arms and fat traps; others are missing. The scepter is missing in the Maria figure.; anonymous; Southern Netherlands; c. 1475 - c. 1500; brass (alloy); iron (metal); founding; h 66 cm x d 63.5 cm d 10.5 cm x d 8.0 cm
