Flint hunting rifle; Hunting rifle with flint lock in bas-relief chiselled with braid and huddle and on the tail plate tail and the bolts with masks; signed. The barrel has a later added basculating breech and walking gates; and is decorated with chiselling in bas-relief and post-embossed yellow copper overlay with leaves; palmettes; a grotesque mask and a dolphin; around the trumpet is a brass ring with the same decoration; the rib on top is partially covered with a signed yellow copper strip; the winged rear visor and the grain are of brass; stamped on top with the city hallmark of Utrecht and on the bottom with an indivisible brand. The flask is cut with leafy drinks. The batter of cast brass is embossed in relief with leafy tendrils and other decorations; and consists of: four octagonal loading rod sleeves with relief; the front one with a mask; a symmetrical screw plate with ajour worked leaflets around two grotesque figures; one of which is on a monkey; attacking another monkey; a trigger guard with a grotesque man and a blade at both ends; a white; oval thumb plate with female terms on either side and a mask underneath; and a butt plate with a figure of Victory; the loading stick is equipped with an iron cap.; Gerrit Lasonder (III); Utrecht; c. 1720; brass (alloy); iron (metal); founding; l 155.4 cm l 116.3 cm d 17.2 mm
