The lock plate is engraved with leaf scrolls and a signature; the rooster is ajour worked and engraved with; among other things; a fabulous sea creature. The barrel of cast copper has a heavy construction and bears the family crest of Admiral Cornelis Tromp. The flask is easily cut.
