DORJE TA'OG ON HORSE.
Sino-Tibetan. Qing dynasty. Copper bronze finely engraved; fire gilded and with pigments. The wrathful deity sitting sideways on the mount; both arms stretched out. On the head he wears a broad-brimmed hat. Garment seams; boots; hat and saddle cloth decorated with finely engraved patterns. Presumably; it is a representation of Dorje Ta'og; the protector of the Sera monastery of the Gelup tradition; or a form of Damcan. Cast in several parts. Base closed and probably ritually filled. Weight 1221g; height 15.8cm. Condition A/B.Art trade; Van Ham.
