A study on canvas for the mural in the Ruhmeshalle of the Berliner Zeughaus. King Wilhelm I hands his son Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia; later to become Emperor Wilhelm III; the "Pour le M鑢ite" order on the battlefield at K鰊igsgr鋞z on the evening of 3rd July 1866.
Depicted in the surrounding entourage are Bundeskanzler F黵st von Bismarck; Kriegsminister Graf von Roon; General von Moltke and General von Blumenthal.

The "Die Schlacht bei K鰊igsgr鋞z" mural was located in the Feldherrnhalle and was among the total of 12 historic paintings which were utterly destroyed during WWII. A second version is kept in the Deutschen Historischen Museum in Berlin.
