Pair of Magnificent Candelabra.
Augsburg. 1816/17. Johann Sigmund Christeiner.
Silver. On a triangular base plate with concave long sides of the foot above three sided pedestal are sculpted dolphins in smooth; slightly tapered round shaft. Pedestal
showing relief with round medallions each has little boy with lions. Three light; arms with rams' heads. Central vase-shaped crown with flowers. On one of the narrow sides of the base plate is an engraved monogram 'LH'. Height 55cm. Condition B/C. The foot is mounted on the original stone plate for stability.
Augsburg inspection mark for 1816/17 (Seling Nr.3080); maker's mark SC (Johann Sigmund Christeiner; 1800-31; ebd. Nr.2650); inscribed SEETHALER.
