PORCELAIN BOWL; DOUCAI.
China. Qing period. 18th century.
Bowl with protruding side on straight; wide; short foot. In the centre a bouquet of blooming flowers in fine enamel colours; surrounded by a very fine bordure of detailed blossoms and a further bordure of large; stylised leaves and blossoms. On the outside the bouquets repeat themselves; separated by various large tendrils. The finish is made of a fine bordure of small cloud-shaped patterns on yellow ground. Height 6;1 cm; ?15 cm. Six character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue and from the period. Condition A.
Provenance:
- from a Rhenish private collection; bought in 1976 at the Weltdeutschen Kunstmesse (World German Art Fair). Before that in an advertisement by Ingrid Gr黷erich in the magazine 'WELTKUNST'(World Art); XLV. issue; no. 17; September 1; 1975. P. 1338 (advertisement is enclosed).
