Japan. Meiji period. 2nd half of the 19th Century.

Almost square with a high; vertical rim and rounded edges. The upper side is decorated in kinji; nashiji; accentuated in okibriame; with a tall blossoming plum tree and young pines in a landscape along a river. On the other side young bamboo under clouds. In Japan known as the three friends of winter. The outer sides are covered with nashiji; above karakusa in kinji- hiramakie. Height 7cm; 33;6 x 33;7cm.Art trade; Van Ham.
