Jana Pawla II): detail of statue of Pope John Paul II; unveiled 1995; In this park and place; Pope John Paul II hold a mess; on 11th of June; 1987. In remembrance of this tremendous religious and politically important event; this 4 m high and 6 tons heavy metal sculpture and statue was built and unveiled on the spot; on 18th of June; 1995. The park formerly was known aus Qustorp-Aue. In 1924; Szczecin (Stettin) based German industrial tycoon Martin Quistorp donated the grounds to the city.
