LARGE IRONCLAD CASKET
Presumably South German or North Italian; dated 1790

Ironclad wooden case. Rectangular case carrying handles on sides. All sides mounted with riveted plates. The margins of the plates partly embossed. On the front are two locks with drop bolts. Hinged lid. Drop bolds are inscribed: GAM 10 Feb 1790. Back panel and bottom each have two openings for mounting. 64;5x87x61 cm. Condition B.
