Poland; city of Szczecin (former Stettin); Museum of Technology and Transport (Muzeum Techniki i Komunikacji): historic tram in front of exhibition hall (former tram depot; first built 1897); The museum shows a wide range of historic cars; built in Poland; but also of illustrous former German car builder Stoewer; who settled in Stettin (Szczecin); in 1896 and produced the first car; here; in 1899. It was founded in 1858 as a repair work shop for sewing machines; bicycles; and type writers. In 1932; Stoewer V 5 was the first front-wheel drive car; worldwide. In 2019; the museum bought the largest collection of Stoewer oldtimer cars; worldwide; from Manfred Bauer from German town of Wald-Michelbach. The museum as well houses old motorcycles; bicycles; trams; tanks and busses.
