Chinese ink and colours on paper; mounted as a picture scroll (emakimono). On the back with mica and at the beginning backed with silk; end buttons glass or crystal. 27 x 1902cm.

The landscapes and sights around the shrine of Nikk?are presented in texts and drawings. Furthermore the scroll depicts itinerant priests (yamabushi) and their particularities; unusual plants and magic incidents; also a small paper amulett is glued on the scroll. On the endpaper a draft for a small decorated lacquer object has been mounted. Condition B.Art trade; Van Ham.
