Silk; tabby weave with woven check and fine gold threads (probably from gilded paper strips with red ground twisted around light colored silk); thin and twisted warp fringes with knoted tassels. The check with green; navy blue and a few yellow threds on red ground. In each square a small flower or star is brocaded in gold. The ends with gold brocaded tumpal pattern with flowes and triangles. The uneven width and twisting of the gilded paper strip suggests an early date. 309 x 73cm. Condition B.Art trade; Van Ham.
