Female Malay servant wearing only a cloth around her waist; her hands clasped in front; with bare torso and feet. On her head she wears a woven ring typical in S.E.Asia to transport heavy loads on the head; which is not a custom in Japan! From Virginia Atchley coll.; where this piece was misinterpreted as Okame. Height 9;5cm. Condition A/B. Toes restored.
