Monkey trying to open two awabi-shells with an expression of joyful anticipation. Well carved and engraved; the fur indicated by subtle patination typical for this artist. Inlaid eyes made of reddish-yellow horn with black pupils. Signature on oval cartouche. Width 4;5cm. Condition A.
