Molecular model of the membrane remodelling protein vesicle-inducing protein in plastids 1 (Vipp1). This protein, also known as inner membrane-associated protein of 30 kDa (IM30), is found in cyanobacteria (blue-green algae), algae and plants. It plays a crucial role in the biogenesis and repair of thylakoid membranes, the site of light-dependent photosynthesis reactions.
