Some mosaic pieces missing. Glass cover on verso missing. Pendant shows traces of wearing.
The inlay technique 'pietra dura' is also known as 'Florentine mosaic'. During the 19th century jewellery in this fashion was considered a popular souvenier from Italy. Flora and fauna motifs are typical characteristics.
