Bronze with two-colored lacquer and gold leaf. The young man (Sanskrit: Sudhanakum鈘a) standing on a high throne appears in numerous myths. His hands are folded in anjali mudr? His loincloth is tied with a ribbon with swastica knot and his shoulders are clad in a cape with long ribbons. Height 35cm; width 11cm; depth 8cm. Condition B. Base slightly bent.
As an enlightened seeker; he is described in the Avatam-Sutra. Together with Longn?he accompanies Guanyin. It is often confused with the Golden Boy (jintong); who is the companion of the Jade Emperor.Art trade; Van Ham.
