Ivory with dark colored; engraved details. The later great Chinese statesman Sima Guang rescued a friend in his childhood by smashing a large water-pot in which that friend threatened to drown. H.3.8cm. Sign.: Masayuki; Kat?Masayuki; T鬹y? born 1831; active till the Meiji-period. Condition A/B.
