China. Qing dynasty; 19th/20th c.
Porcelain painted in famille rose. Lided pot in wax gourd shape painted with a pair of fenghuang birds perched on a wutung tree. Supplement: 1) Four small plates; painted in underglaze blue and over glaze iron red with dragons and marine animals. Underneath a six character Wanli mark; but 19th/20th c. 2) Trumpetvase with underglaze blue dragons and iron brown. 3) Small bowl with underglaze blue painting. Underneath a jade mark: wan yu. Maybe Kangxi or Qianlong. Height 23cm; ?23cm. Condition B.
