NETSUKE: RABBIT WITH BIWA FRUIT.
Japan. Edo period. 19th century.

Ivory; delicately carved and polished; inlaid eyes made of garnet; fruit made of black horn; beautiful partly golden-yellow patina. Rabbit with long ears sitting on a branch with Biwa fruit between its paws. L.5cm. Signed: Yoshitada in rectangular reserve. Condition A/B. Age cracks.
