Boxwood; delicately carved; engraved; and darkly stained; inlaid eyes made of bone with black pupils. Wolf with aggressively wide opened mouth sitting with the hindlegs of a bested stag between its fore-paws. H.5cm. Signed: Masatomo on rectangular reserve; Ky魌o school; cf. MCI; who mentions two of this model on p. 471. Condition B. Closed hole; left ear bumped and re-carved.
