Boxwood; very delicately carved; engraved with darker accentuations; the eyes inlaid with light horn with dark pupils. Mermaid with dark; long accentuated hair; draped over a large shell; showing her curved tail underneath; while trying to prevent her own tail from getting caught between the seashells with her right hand. W.4.5cm. Signed: Hideharu on recessed; rectangular reserve. Condition A.Art trade; Van Ham.
